Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/25/2006

Number: 1

At dismissal time (3:00 CST), our students and staff saw 30-40 Monarchs traveling over the school - struggling against the wind and rain. It was so neat! It was in the middle of a rainy, windy day, but they kept on flying!

The next Sunday, Oct. 1st, I saw about 100 of them fly over my house (on the outskirts of Madisonville) in about an hour's time. There were probably many more, but I went inside after a while.
