Signs of Fall

Date: 10/08/2006

Number: 1

The bad weather to the south produced banner warbler watching in the backyard--I have never seen such a variety!!! Positive identification on Northern parula and cerulean warblers-also yellow rumps, kinglets, Nashville, Magnolia--others could not be placed-very frustrating!!!They are attracted to the small stream I built, they also like the mister and ponds. Two hummers still here, the predicted cold snap at weeks end should send them on their way. The leaves are beginning to fall from some maples, pretty soon the sound of leaf blowers will fill the air--YUCK!!!
