On Sunday, Oct. 8th, I saw a dozen monarchs intently nectaring
in my still blooming garden, in addition to a newly born one I released. Also three monarchs emerged from their chrysalis 10/9 and were released.
The temperature was in the mid 60's, but in the sun, it felt much warmer.
Let's hope the winds help them south quickly, a cold front is
coming in from Canada on Thursday.
A caterpillar I found on A. syriaca on 10/8 went into chrysalis
10/9. Rather late!
