On Sunday, October 8, I was a spectator at softball games played at
Mountain State University in Beckley, WV. The softball stadium must be
right on one of the migratory routes, as I was delighted to see at
least 300 Monarchs flutter past during the course of the afternoon. It
was such a treat ! I have never had the opportunity to see so many
butterflies in such a short time.
