Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/30/2006

Number: 1

It was at 4:15 p.m. I think it was a feeding/nectaring station – in 5 minutes, we counted over 50 monarchs. My friends have 5 or 6 very large butterfly bushes (trees), the butterflies were all over the place – and moving from blossom to blossom. It could have been double that, very difficult to count. They were not actually flying, so much as feeding. Last week, when we returned to her home at the same time one week later, there were no monarchs at all.
