Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/13/2006

Number: 1

The first Monarchs started going through Camp Wood on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. It was a sparse number, perhaps 2 every 5 minutes.

Today, October 13, 2006, the sky is full of Monarchs. Usually they come in from NE and head SW-going toward the Nueces River. This group, flying high, is circling here, starting SW but turning and going SE. I don't know what they are doing.
