My life science classes have been tagging the monarchs this year. We tagged 27 monarchs in the butterfly garden today using the last of the 200 tags that we had purchased from MonarchWatch. For the past week the Monarchs have been steadily coming by to nectar. We have 2 monarch chrysalis in our classroom that we brought in from the milkweed to observe. The students are enjoying the monarch adventure from caterpillars eating all of the milkweed to capturing and tagging the adults.
