We were on the coast this weekend. At Port Aransas on Friday, October 13, we saw quite a few monarchs sailing along the beach, fairly high.
The next day, at Rockport, we saw even more. They moved along with the brisk wind for the several hours that we were there. I have no idea how to estimate the numbers, but I can't remember when I've ever seen such a
concentration of them in Texas.
