Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/19/2006

Number: 1

We have had more than a few hummingbirds fallout this week with the two fronts that came thru with squall lines that brought us severe weather. When a line of super cells passed by about 4:00 pm on the 17th we had hummers fighting over the wildflowers in the backyard, especially the blooming curassavica and not the usual places at the red flowers like raspberry penta, scarlet salvia, and others. With the frontal passage today, the sky was full of geese, ducks, and even some white pelicans migrating south in their "V"'s.
