The last ruby-throat (a female) observed at my feeders was on 9/18/06. And I have not seen ruby-throats since that date. BUT LOW AND BEHOLD on 10/12/06 what appears to be a young female RUFOUS appeared - - and has been here in Media, Delaware County, PA to date - - which is 10/24/06. She's very healthy looking and is enjoying my woods and feeders. I'm thrilled to observe her -- but hope she decides to go South before the weather really gets cold.
