Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/18/2006

Number: 1

The weather was cool and damp as we planted our tulip bulbs. Fall seems to be coming early this year. There were puddles of water all around as we had almost 2 inches of rain the day before planting. We each did an experiment with one bulb by changing one of the variables. Two of us wanted to plant our Red Emperor tulip bulbs close to be building to see if it would bloom sooner than our Journey North location. It was so wet there that our holes filled up with water as we dug them. We moved them to another place so they wouldn't rot.
