This incredible observation was made by Mr. Carl Pascoe, who bands hummingbirds and songbirds:

Holiday Beach Migration Observatory (HBMO) banded a record late
Ruby-throated Hummingbird for our banding station today. It was a hatch-year, male who was healthy and rather plump. He had a fat score of 5 on a 0-7 fat scale used by banders. His weight was 4.2 grams.

Holiday Beach Migration Observatoryis located about 20 km southeast of Windsor, Ontario where the Detroit River flows into Lake Erie.
