A migrant juvenile female Ruby-throat arrived here after our Oct 12th surprise snowstorm. She has been here in my yard and the surounding area until Oct. 26th. when I saw her for the last time. She did not use any of the 4 style feeders up had out and only used the flowers of my plants. She was using several Salvias, Agastaches, Cuphea ignea, Canna Indica, and Lobelia Cardinalis I tried to reach a bander while she was here in hopes of having her banded so that if she was caught again further south they would know where she had been and or come from. I managed to get the names of 2 banders in NY state, one a week before she left and the second the day she left and even though I contacted them, I haven't heard back from either one as of this report.
