Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/24/2006

Number: 1

I live on Eagle Lake in Edwardsburg,MI and found a Monarch butterfly on my deck on Tuesday Oct. 24th. It looked dead, but I picked it up and brought it inside and it seemed revived! It is huge & gorgeous and has now been flying around the house for 3 days! I will take it outside to fly away and it just stays in the same spot for hours, so we then bring it back in! It does not seem injured at all. My instinct is that it is too cold and wet outside for this butterfly, because it seems more mobile indoors! Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!( I am going to start nectar/water supplement tonight)I am intriqued by this creature and I wish I could fly her to Mexico! My 2 year old daughter is fascinated too!E-mail me for a pic if you want!
