At one point I counted 5 per minute. I was sitting on the beach on Sullivan's Island near Fort Moultrie, just east of Charleston, SC. I was on the beach for about an hour in mid morning, clear skies, no wind, mid to high 70s.

I am a teacher but I had the day off. It was an enormous treat!
