Signs of Fall

Date: 11/01/2006

Number: 1

Observed several more groups of between 10-15 per group of Robins. Rainy conditions, current temp 49'and foggy.
These groups stopped over here today and spent the entire day perched in our tree's and occasionally searching for bugs, worms, etc... I think that they are resting & building up their strength for the remainder of the journey south.
We now have the usual fall birds, Blue Jays, Dark Eyed Juncos, Chickadees, Titmouse, that have all been feeding from the feeder I have just outside our kitchen window. It looks as if November is going to bring us much cooler than expected temperatures. There is a strong cold front moving down from Canada today that is going to drop the over night lows into the lower 20's for the rest of this week. Brrrrr. :)
