Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 11/01/2006

For the past three days, Monarchs have been trickling in...flying high, they seem so solitary and steaming from the north...first one or two and then a small cluster of 5

-10...and then I loose count...the stream is constant!

But the best part of all is that they are roosting in my gardens....settling in the Alamos (birchlike trees) and sipping the nectar from the last of the flowers...

what a sight right before my eyes...right here....

I went for a long hike this morning and didn't see one monarch! The blue morphos are all about however. I can't believe that after the last three days I couldn't find a one this morning!
