What I believe to be a young female rufous is still frequenting my woods and feeders since her arrival on 10/12/06. The temperatures have been colder than normal ? we?ve had light frosts ? lots of winds (some gusting to 50 mi. an hour last week)?and rain. All of my flowers are gone ? as are most of the ones in the surrounding area. Have taken a few pictures of her. She seems very much at home ? and doesn?t appear to be leaving any time soon.
