The day was sunny but chilly. The temperature was 35 degrees with no wind. We planted 27 tulips in the control garden. We planted another 27 tulips in the experimental garden with some 4 inches deep, some 9 inches deep, and some upside down. We also planted some tulips on a north facing slope, some on a south facing slope, and some close to the building.
