Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 11/08/2006

Number: 1

Today thousands of monarchs have arrived in Tequisquiapan. They began to arrive around five o'clock in the afternoon. The butterflies were arriving from the north. This is the first large group to pass through this fall. It is such a wonderful sight! All the neighbors were out. Our subdivision is surrounded by pines and eucalyptus trees. The entire subdivision is full of the butterflies tonight. This is the latest we have seen the butterflies roost in the fall. Here is one of the photos my husband and I took.
