Our bulbs were planted on Thursday, October 26, 2006. We followed directions for the Journey North project regarding the depth and spacing for planting Red Emperor bulbs. Students were divided into four groups and planted their bulbs to form the letters BPES. The children have investigated bulbs using an inquiry approach. Bulbs were dissected and parts of bulbs were identified. We are beginning to monitor air and soil temperatures as well as amounts of precipitation.
