After reading some other reports, our students wanted to tell everyone someone about our area. Columbus Elementary School is in Thornwood, NY. It is a suburb of New York City. Many people who live here take the train to the city to work or drive to the city. The train ride takes 50 minutes. Our area has many woods and there are deer, raccoons, wild turkeys and some coyotes. We are having a mild fall. It is about 56 degrees F - 14 degrees C. Most of the leaves are off the trees now after a heavy rain last weekend. Our 30 bulbs are planted, just waiting for spring.
