November 15, 2006 was an exceptionally warm day as nineteen eager first grade students embarked on their Journey North Tulip Project. Armed with spades, red emperior tulip bulbs and high hopes Mrs. Quann's first grade students planted their tulip bulbs. They will spend the next quarter studying, analyzing, drawing and experimenting with tulips. They will n integrate science, math, language arts and writing into their tulip project as they await the arrival of spring with blooming tulips.
