Over a month ago a female laid eggs on milkweed in my yard - it was late and the milkweed was scarce -she laid on tropical, blue vine, common and swamp - very little left - over 30 turned into chrysalids -it took 3 weeks for larvae stage and about 17 days as the pupa - They were released on various days in November including today and were tagged , but there is virtually no nectaring flowers around - they flew when temps were as low as 53 but sunny -some were fed grape juice and juicy juice
