A most unusual thing: I just released my last monarch of the season - Nov. 25 - from richmond. Sunny and 63 degrees. This monarch was a caterpillar for 3 weeks and a chrysalis for 19 days!! She flew pretty well -The mama laid eggs in October on very scarce milkweed plants in my yard. Unusual season - Back in late May a torn and tattered female came through and laid eggs and in June 25 monarchs flew north!! Just wanted to let someone know about this late monarch - knew it was unusual -
