For several days now we have had thousands of robins roosting, flying and feeding around our home. They come in about sundown and roost in the grove of cedar trees behind our house. At sunup they leave the trees in hordes and fly west. During the day we often watch some robins on the ground looking for worms. And recently after a heavy rain they were successful in getting a few worms. We are wondering if this is an annual phenomena or if we are seeing something strange. We just moved to this house this year. When we say hordes, we mean several thousand birds.
Editor's Note: We will contact this observer in February to find out if robins remain present.
