At about 8:30 a.m. there was such a racket in the back yard. I went to see what kind of bird had settled there and was surprised to see hundreds of robins. There were some just sitting in the trees but the majority were swarming. I have never seen so many in one spot in my life, not even after living in Connecticut for 36 years.
