Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/11/2007

Number: 1

Saw my first American Robins of the year scratching around in our yard and the neighbor's at 2:00 this afternoon. We have had a warm week (was 73 dF at the time), but a cold front coming in Sunday will change all that. When we got back from Victoria at 5:00, I heard a couple of Robins, about four houses down, calling to each other and could see them in the trees that are bare now ... wouldn't call it singing! Not sure whether these are some that are still heading south, but we usually get to see bunches of Robins starting after Christmas each year and, if we are lucky, get to see better flights returning a bit later ... in the spring.
