Like many parts of the country, our region has had a mild December and January. We noticed yesterday that several of our tulips have poked up above the soil line. The temperature dropped considerably overnight, and we are expecting a period of more seasonable temperatures. We are wondering what is going to happen to our early emergents. Will they freeze and die, or stop growing? This has never happened to our garden before.
