Let me tell you, I was shocked to see the robin. I saw the robin again this morning in the same yard at about 7:30 am EST in the same area about 1/6 mile from my house. I have only seen one nice sized robin flying between the trees. This morning a mocking bird was teasing the robin. So far this winter has been unseasonably mild--about 4 weeks ago my crocus started poking through my mulch and are up about 1 1/2 inches. The mild weather changed to downright cold about 3 days ago. Yesterday (the first time I saw the robin the temps stayed in the 20s with a wind chill making it feel like the low teens. Today the high is expected to be about 25 degrees F not so windy.. Yesterday and today when I saw my robin, the temp was about 20 degrees F.
