I only noticed one or two robins at first, then later in the day, I saw about 20 in a large tree in my backyard under which I put bird seed. I think they must have seen the other birds in the tree. The robins are still there today and appear to be eating from a crabapple tree in my yard. They also are going into a few holly trees, perhaps for the berries? I can't tell. I live on a small lake but it is frozen so I don't think they are here to drink from it. I was very surprised to see the robins because we had abnormally warm weather in northern VA for the past few weeks but it turned cold a few days ago and we had snow Sunday night. The ground is still lightly covered.
