Thousands of robins appeared yesterday for the first time. Loud robin song heard.
January 23
What I heard was lots of very noticable "bird noises" of a sort that we don't hear around here. The robins seem to be gone this am and the sounds are gone too. Although I live in an older in-town residential area of single family houses, we have a wooded park-like cemetary nearby so there are lots of birds, birdsong, and assorted wildlife around.
What I noticed Sunday were birds swooping through my backyard. On Monday they were eating holly berries and bird seed and thousands were in the trees on the block. I saw one bluejay with them. Gone today.
