As the Amana Colonies enjoyed their "WinterFest 07"- at least 100 robins were sighted @ 3:00 pm CST, feasting on berries from trees, sitting in the trees & picking through bare spots in the snow. It was pheunominal- I have never seen anything like it this early in the season. I did not have my camera of course! Mixed in with them were starlings, but mostly robins. My husband as noticed some robins had wintered over around here in the timbers- but not so many in such a large group, as this.
