Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 01/17/2007

Number: 1

On 01/17/07 Texas was blitzed with a horrendous ice & snow storm that continued for 24 hours. The morning after I saw Robins (& other birds) out foraging for food in the snow. I assume they were hunting for bugs and worms under thick leaves on the ground. I suspect they flew further South or a while since I'm only about 3 hours from the Mexico border but they've definitely returned as soon as the ice was gone. Where I live is a major bird watching area in South Texas.
