On beautiful, clear, sunny days......they love to sing. I have so many wonderful song birds out here it is very hard to "see" the robins while they're singing. AND......all the other birds tend to sing at the same time.

I think they were just happy to have warmer weather, sunshine and no ice and they were singing because they were HAPPY!!!!!!!!! I doubt that this singing had anything to do with territory because Red Headed Wood Peckers couples, Red Bird couples, and some other gorgeous kind of bird couples (which I don't know what they are) were all digging for worms on the same plot of ground and the singing was in the same vicinity.
