I have a female rufous hummingbird hanging around my backyard in Northport, New York. (A tough little survivor, she has been here since November 26th.) "Ilsa" has become a member of the family. She is still here, alive and well and happily coming to her feeders. Here she is pictured feeding on pineapple sage.
