Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/31/2007

Number: 1

We live in a wooded area in a costal town in southeastern Ma and I have noticed that the robins no longer leave at all. We do not see them for a time in early winter . Then they congregate in the area in large flocks, up to 200 in number. THey exhibit group flying behavior which reminds me of the flocks of starlings common along the roads that border the saltmarshes. The starlings sometimes come down here in the woods as well. I posted here because I am interested in feeding the wintering robins.
