Can you imagine?-The windchill temperature was minus 10 this day with regular gusts of 25 mph!!! They must believe in "Phil" (the groundhog).

Song Confirmation
I went to your web site and there is no doubt that I heard one of the two territorial calls. The first call I heard this year was a few days earlier but I couldn’t say it was a robin until I listened to the “Tut” call on the website today when you asked me to verify what I heard. This would have been February 1st when it was very cold as well.

Robins over winter in this area. We are right on the water and the mild winters we’ve had have allowed them to stay. In January 06 we had a flock of Robins converge on a holly tree and I have pictures of Robins converging on a barberry bush in the snow in February ’05. Don’t ask me where they stay. All I know is we’ve seen them around this time of year for 3 years in a row. I have not laid eyes on one yet this year-but I expect they’ll be in my heated bird bath soon.
