Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 01/04/2007

Number: 1

A woman in Plymouth, Massachusetts, spotted what she thought was a ruby-throated hummingbird at her feeder on December 16, 2006. National humminbird expert Bob Sargent saw the bird on January 4 and confirmed that it was, indeed, a female ruby-throat. (It was apparently still there on January 9.) This was the very latest ruby-throat sighted in New England this year!
