There had been several robins feeding in the front yard and they flew away when I went outside. However, about 3 minutes later, I heard a couple of them singing in the higher branches of the oak trees above me.
Confirmed Song
I went to the site and listened to all the robin songs...What I heard was the regular song, which I believe was listed as a territorial declaration. Not having had any robins around for so long, I at first thought it was a bluejay, but then realized it was different, so I looked up and that's when I saw the robins in the oak trees...
Yesterday must have been "bath day" because I had to refill the small birdbath outside a few times to accommodate their 3 to a turn bath time!! It was so much fun watching from my front window, but I couldn't get a picture because as soon as I'd crack open the door just a little they'd fly away. My running outside had to be just to add more water to the birdbath...I didn't want to take a chance on scaring them away.
