I have one robin in my yard as far as I know since I have only seen one. The weather here was very mild at the beginning of the winter, but we just had an extremely bitter spell with wind chills well below zero. We have a snow emergency here today, and the robin was hanging on to my flowering crab tree for dear life. He is eating the fruit on the tree and I have a heated bird bath that he is using for drinks.
The reason I found your web site is that I was wondering what a robin would eat since I have never seen one here in the winter before. I am planning to put some fruit out on a board so he will have more of a variety. I have only been in this house for a couple of years and this is the first year I have had bird feeders out in the yard. I was happy to send a report especially since I thought it was unusual to spot one here in the winter!
