Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/08/2007

Number: 1

It's awesome!! There are literally hundreds on robins on the ground in my neighborhood. As I was driving home, I had to slow down because so many birds were darting across the street in random directions! All along the street, birds are on the ground in the neighbors'yards. Some fly up into the trees, then fly back to the ground. I stepped out to video, but it's just getting dark (5:30 pm CST) and not showing up well. The temperature is 32 degrees and the wind is blowing. They are making short "chip" sounds.

This is my first spring in taking notice of the robins in our area. I need to clarify the bird sounds I just reported. I personally interpret the sound as "chip". I listened to the site's song files and what I am hearing are classified by you guys as "zeeups" and "peek/tuts".
