Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/08/2007

Number: 1

Robins stay in St. John's until the mountain ash berries have been eaten.
This year we had a good crop of berries and lots of robins lingered until third week of January when the berries were eaten. We think the thousands of robins that were here for the most part migrate south or west to warmer climates. We hope they do. A few are lingering and taking berries that people throw out into their back yards. It is a rare winter when there are enough berries to get the large flocks all the way through the winter.
