Robin (First SEEN)

Sitting in front of my window at 5:15 PM waiting to go down for supper, a reddish bird swooped in and landed in the big birch tree in the courtyard. Sure enough, in the fading light, I could tell that it was indeed a male American Robin. That brightened up the winter right there!

It then proceeded, after a few minutes, to sit idle on a two foot diameter snow free patch of mud for another five minutes, until finally resting in another tree.
