The flock of between 12 and 18 robins were in the yard at about 8am. They were feeding on the rotten ornamental crabapple fruit that fell months ago. They also were eating juniper berries and the black berries on several volunteer privat bushes ( I wish I could be more specific in identifying the plant species) They were not interested in water I put out. I also threw out finely chopped pieces of fresh apple. Some interest but not what I had hoped.I expect this flock to be remain the area and would appreciate advice on how to assist them in these difficult conditions.I think this website is great and have already encouraged friends to visit. Thank you.
