Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/12/2007

Number: 1

I grew up in St. Louis and, as I recall, Robins were the most numerous bird in the area in the summer. When I started moving around the country, I could see that Robins were not always as numberous as they had been in St. Louis. I remember being in places where people didn't know what Robins were.

I have lived in Tallahassee for almost 15 years, and I know that seeing Robins here is somehting rare. And today, I think I saw more than I have ever seen in all the time I have been here. They appreciated the birdbaths in my yard. They were bigger than I had remembered. I have at least two pairs of Cardinals nesting in my yard, and the Robins look like they weighed twice as much. The Cardinals and the Robins seemed to share the bird baths quite readily.
