A mature bald eagle has been residing around some local farmland for the past two years, including nesting on a powerline stanchion. My father, son and I drove over to the area in which the bald eagle has been observed two Saturday's ago and spotted him perched a top the stanchion. This past Friday, the eagle (probably the same one) was observed flying at about 70' over our schoolyard habitat coming from the direction of the previous sightings. The eagle flew overhead, and then followed the creek bend about 150 yards away, in what appeared to be a mission to find a mid-morning meal.
