I live in Houston, Tx and have done several Christmas counts in the area. We seem to have way more than our usual numbers of robins this year- so much so, that many grassland bird counts are down.

And to me spring is when the robins move from the country to the city and begin searching our yards for worms. This usually happens in February. Soon most of them leave but a few stay where there are irrigated lawns and nest.
