Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/08/2007

Number: 1

This was a sighting of one American Robin on 2007 Feb. 8. It was in a cedar just outside our house (latitude 44 degrees, 02' 56.7" N, longitude 78 degrees 01' 48.6" W in case it doesn't come through correctly in the above field). Its plumage was quite brighly coloured (male?), and it was chirping loudly. It was the first robin I have seen since returning from out of the country on Jan. 21, and I saw none here between 2006 Nov. 17 and my departure on Dec. 18. I haven't seen it since that day, and I have no idea whether it was an extraordinarily early migrant or an overwintering individual that has been, and is now, elsewhere.
