Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/16/2007

Number: 1

The flock near Rondeau (Provincial Park - 42° 17' 48"
N - 81° 53' 22" W) this afternoon was fairly small, about 90 birds. Possibly 70% Red-winged, the rest starlings except the Brewer's. Of course I didn't get a good look at every bird. I haven't seen any robins lately, but there were some wintering ones up until early January in various spots. No doubt if this cold weather breaks, we will see some new ones soon.
